Collaborating for a Better Tomorrow

In December 2022, I was invited to be Santa Claus at two schools in the Sarasota County School District: Tuttle Elementary and Gocio Elementary. On this occasion, Santa prepared books for the kindergarten students at both schools to promote reading during the winter break. ABC7 Sarasota covered the event. Committed to enhancing reading levels among elementary school children, I was invited by the Patterson Foundation to participate in Mercedes Soler’s radio program on La Número 1 Tampa Bay to discuss the importance of reading at home.Click the button to access the video!

 I come from an indigenous family in Venezuela, many of whom did not have the opportunity to attend school. From a young age, I recognized the importance of formal education. That’s why I seize every opportunity to participate in campaigns that promote reading at all ages.
